Reaching Level 100 in Hero Siege is not the end of progression. It is the point where the focus shifts toward Hero Levels, Incarnation progression, stronger equipment, and efficient endgame farming. The biggest mistake at this stage is trying to jump straight into the most rewarding farming method before the character is ready.
A better approach is to treat the post-Level 100 journey as several stages. Start with Chaos Towers, use them to strengthen your character and earn additional Ether Points, then switch to the Colossal Chest strategy as soon as Ready to Pop becomes available.
Level 100: Start With Chaos Towers
Immediately after reaching Level 100, your character may still be using a mixture of leveling gear and temporary upgrades. This is where Chaos Towers become useful.
The goal is not to push the hardest possible content. Instead, focus on finding a difficulty where enemies can be killed quickly and your character rarely dies.
Chaos Towers provide useful experience for Hero Levels while also giving you opportunities to improve your equipment. More importantly, this stage helps you accumulate the progression needed for your Ether Tree.
At this point, prioritize:
- Fast and consistent clears
- Enough survivability to avoid repeated deaths
- Experience over unnecessary exploration
- Useful equipment upgrades
- Additional Ether Points
There is little reason to spend heavily on perfect gear this early. If you are managing Hero Siege Gold carefully, concentrate your resources on upgrades that immediately improve clear speed or survivability.
Build Toward Ready to Pop
Your next major milestone is Ready to Pop in the Ether Tree. The node requires 17 Ether Points, so your early post-Level 100 progression should be built around reaching that requirement efficiently.
Do not spend Ether Points randomly simply because another node looks attractive. If your main objective is fast Hero Level progression, reaching Ready to Pop should take priority.
Chaos Towers are essentially the bridge between reaching Level 100 and unlocking the more efficient Colossal Chest farming strategy.
Once you have enough Ether Points, the question changes from “Where can I get more experience?” to “How quickly can I trigger the next high-value experience event?”
When to Leave Chaos Towers
You should not abandon Chaos Towers the moment Ready to Pop becomes available. First, make sure your character can actually take advantage of the new farming route.
Check your damage, movement speed, defenses, and ability to handle dense monster groups. If you enter a difficult map and spend more time traveling or recovering than killing enemies, the theoretical XP advantage disappears.
Once your character can quickly locate and clear Colossal Chest events, however, there is little reason to continue relying exclusively on Chaos Towers.
That is the natural transition point.
Enter the Colossal Chest Farming Phase
After unlocking Ready to Pop, improve your Ether Tree with discovery-related upgrades whenever possible. Better detection reduces the time spent searching for Colossal Chests and makes each farming cycle more efficient.
Misty Swamp is a strong destination for characters that are already powerful enough to clear it comfortably. King’s Garden can be a better option for weaker characters because faster, safer runs usually produce better results than repeatedly struggling through higher-level content.
The basic loop is simple:
Enter → Find Colossal Chest → Trigger event → Kill Bloating packs → Collect XP → Leave → Reset
The important part is avoiding unnecessary map clearing.
Early Hero Levels: Prioritize Speed
During the first Hero Levels, your character is still gaining power rapidly. This is the stage where fast farming is more important than maximum difficulty.
Use the easiest map that gives you strong Bloating pack density and reliable clears. King’s Garden can be useful here, while stronger characters can move directly into Misty Swamp.
Every upgrade should be judged by whether it improves your experience per hour.
A slightly stronger weapon that cuts several seconds from every run can be more valuable than a rare item with impressive stats but no meaningful impact on clear speed.
Mid Hero Levels: Push Efficiency
As your Hero Level increases, your character becomes strong enough to handle harder content more comfortably. This is when you should gradually increase the difficulty of your farming route.
However, do not increase difficulty simply for bigger numbers. Track how long each cycle actually takes.
If a higher-level map takes twice as long but provides only a modest increase in experience, the easier route remains the better choice.
This is also the stage where players may consider spending cheap Hero Siege Gold on targeted upgrades rather than replacing their entire equipment set.
Higher Hero Levels: Optimize the Loop
At higher HeroLevels, small inefficiencies become increasingly expensive. Your focus should shift toward minimizing travel, reducing inventory downtime, improving Bloating pack clear speed, and keeping deaths as close to zero as possible.
Use a Loot Filter to remove unnecessary drops from your attention. Keep your inventory organized and avoid returning to town after every short run.
At this stage, the strongest farming setup is not necessarily the build with the highest theoretical damage. It is the build that can repeat the same profitable cycle with almost no downtime.
The Complete Progression Route
For most characters, the cleanest progression looks like this:
Level 100 → Chaos Towers → Earn Ether Points → Unlock Ready to Pop → Improve Discovery Range → Colossal Chest Farming → King’s Garden or Misty Swamp → Optimize Bloating clears → Push higher Hero Levels
Chaos Towers are therefore not something you simply replace because a better farming method exists. They serve an important role in getting your character ready for that next stage.
Once Ready to Pop is unlocked and your build can clear the appropriate map efficiently, Colossal Chests become the natural centerpiece of Hero Level farming. From there, progression is about one thing: making every cycle faster, safer, and more rewarding.
