Lost Ark offers you many ways to improve your character, maximizing its damage or increasing its statistics. One of these enhancement methods is through Tripods, which are found on your gear at Level 3. These "Tripods" directly feed into your skill stats, such as increasing damage or boosting duration. You can level up these tripods up to level 5 (from level 1), and the Sage Dust item increases your chances of leveling up.
Equipment found in Chaos Dungeons can be used as fodder to upgrade your Tripods, and the higher level Tripod you want to upgrade, the lower your chance of success. When you go to the "Transfer Skill Tree" NPC on each significant continent and try to upgrade your gear, you'll notice that you can upgrade your tripods here. Here you can use Powder of Sage to increase your chances.
You can see how a default upgrade from a level 3 tripod has a 15% success rate:
If you click on the "Use Support" button, you will consume a Sage Powder and increase the chance of a successful upgrade.
Sages Powder can be found in specific instances around Lost Ark. One of the easiest ways to get these items is through the Guild Shop or NPC Symeal Bloodstone Exchange. This is one of the most reliable ways to get the Dust of Sage item. You can get Symeal Bloodstones by participating in guild activities, further emphasizing the importance of joining a guild.
Another reliable way is to use the new weekly "Challenge Guardian" mechanic. As part of the Lost Ark rewards from these Guardian Raids, you'll get chests containing some sage powder. You can participate in a Challenge Guardian Raid once a week, so be sure to complete all Guardian Raids to stock up on these items.
Note: You must be item level 1302 to use these items. Powder of Sages is for level 3 characters, so don't worry if you're not there yet. That's all you need to know about where to find and how to use Powder of Sage in Lost Ark. Collect several of these items to ensure your tripod upgrades are successful. It's a significant source of damage in the game, so it's important to max out your Tripods as much as possible.
